Congregation B'nai Israel

Kesher for Teens

This fall, Congregation B'nai Israel will be launching the new Kesher program for its teens. Kesher, which means, "connection," will be a coordinated effort to increase Jewish experiences for our post B'nai Mitzvah teens by incorporating Torah (learning), Avodah (worship) and Gemilut Chasidim (community service) into CBI teen programming. We want to create a connection between educational, social, and philanthropic opportunities for our teens at B'nai Israel.

Kesher will offer: learning opportunities for 8th/9th graders twice a month; weekly gatherings of the Confirmation class (10th grade;) and a monthly learning opportunity for 11th/12th graders. Intersession meetings, a youth philanthropy course, and other involvement opportunities will also be available through Kesher Connections!
